Video surveillance system in Pulapromet`s buses
In 32 Pulapromet`s buses operating on local lines, Penta installed a video surveillance system that is integrated into the already established BusCARD system.
Four video cameras with built-in infrared illuminators, a microphone and an assist call button are connected to a digital video recorder that records to a built-in high-capacity hard drive (for about 30 days of video archives), and transmits in real time the vehicle's video and GPS position via an integrated 3G module to the traffic center. The recorders also have a WLAN module for wireless video archive transfer when vehicle is near the garage.
At the Traffic Center, the operator can at any time activate the direct transmission of image and sound from any bus to a large-format display on the supervisory computer and to monitor in real time the events in the vehicle as well as to monitor the position of the vehicle on the map and to take prescribed activities in case of an incident.
Also, now it`s enabled a selective review of the video archive and all complaints of passengers on the traffic of vehicles, the quality of public passenger transport services, as well as the state of traffic and the surrounding road can now be accompanied by recorded video documentation, which at the time of recording video content also contains the garage number, current date and time, and GPS position of the vehicle.
