MARPROM Slovenia and P&P BusCARD system
In early August, the newly founded Maribor company MARPROM started transporting passengers in the city of Maribor. Fifty buses equipped with the P&P BusCARD system control and charge travel tickets for the broader Maribor area, both through newly issued Marprom cards and currently valid Veolia RFID cards, thus enabling full compatibility between tickets issued by these two transport companies using the same BusCARD system.
These days, the work of the P&P BusCARD system has been fully introduced through the issuance of all new types of monthly cards, vehicle ticket controls, and the system is being upgraded with WEB and mobile passenger information on bus arrivals at individual stops in the city of Maribor.
